If I were to ask you to raise your hand if you thought you were crazy, would you?
"There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter."
There was actually a point in time when I thought I wanted to be sane. A point in time that lasted over 30 years :) and not only would I have NEVER raised my hand to that question but, I probably would have slunk down into my seat hoping to conform into the shape of my chair.
My heart was hurt over and again by the rejection that I consistently felt growing up. Looking back now a reasonable justification for this was partly due to the size of town that a portion of my up-bringing occurred in... population was about 500 and we didn't even have a stop-light. I'm not certain due to a lack of experience - yet, I would anticipate larger towns naturally and easily accepted people in general due to more diversity.
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Death
Helen discusses death and the process of grief. There is no shortcut through grief. No one can tell you how long to grieve or how to grieve. Your grief will be unique to you. Know, however, that you will heal.
Old Messages and You
Helen discusses beliefs we have about ourselves picked up in childhood and how they can have long-lasting effects if we let them. We can't just hit the delete key to make them go away but we can retune the messages in our head by paying attention to them. The good news is that we have a great deal of control over our thoughts.
Forgiveness
Helen discusses Forgiveness as a process, not an event. Forgiveness of the unforgivable is possible with Grace. Forgiveness does not mean the action was okay or didn’t hurt. It is not a pass for the offender. However, if we do not forgive, we slowly rot from the inside out. Learn to cherish the gift of forgiveness and give it freely, whether you receive it in the end or not

Blog... EVERYDAY? Really?!
928A
I was informed yesterday that I should blog everyday. My first response was "Really?. Everyday?! Is ones life so exciting that another would want to take time out of theirs to read about it EVERYDAY?!?" Then continued to mumble under my breath... "i don't believe in 'should's anyway," and I stuck out my tongue like a two year-old.
Being a person who lives my life "on point" -I'm still grasping the concept of blogging and the point of it. Yeah yeah... I hear the marketing reasons and 'steps to take for success' and what I actually hear from that is "blah blah blah." As my point is Not to be the worlds greatest marketer.
Another excuse I use -which also true- is my incredible typing speed. Can you hear it now???? Peck, peck, peck..... peck-peck. I have quite a list compiled of why I loath blogging..... yet, my friends response was much like a spanken' the two year-old deserved.
His response was simple and to the point... "Be interested not interesting" and I heard that loud and clear. I received the "get out of my own way" reality check.
So, there you have it. Said like a champ! I guess my life is really about me overall. ... even when my intention is all about you. hmmmm...... Something to ponder and later discuss. (especially if you are a bit confused)
I'm interested in you; Joining me; as we all are "Getting Naked"....
Addictions and Hope
Helen discusses Addictions and Hope for overcoming. Addictions serve to relieve pain and come in many forms. However, addiction is not generally understood. But there is Hope - Recovery happens every day, even after decades of addiction and treatment failure.
