Are Your Words Empowering or Disempowering?

The subject of this article or chapter of the book is Conscious Languaging and in particular conscious or unconscious Self Talk; whether the words you use are attracting to you what you want, or attracting to you more of the same, even if that’s what you don’t want.
We’re talking about noticing what you think and how you express those thoughts, that is, how you speak, as much as possible without necessarily monitoring yourself.
It is as much the words we use in conversations or casual comments as it is telling our story that frames up the beliefs we have about life. And it is those thought producing beliefs that are sending out the frequencies to attract into our lives circumstances, events and people.
Are you using empowering words like encouraged, secure, happy, loved, good, great, and success or are your thoughts filled descriptors like discouraged, afraid, depressed, lonely, bad, awful, failure?
Remember, words have a tremendous influence on what your life looks like. Your own words can empower or disempower you, work for you or against you.
Last time I emphasized the attracting factor of constantly telling your story. Every time you tell your friend about the recent fight you had with your husband, father, child, or boss, the law of attraction brings more of the same to you which means that new experience is on your mind, so you expand the story you were telling from yesterday and the law brings you more and it never stops. It’s like a soap opera. They always review what happened in the last program then pick up with more drama and trauma.
We discussed the eternal question, why is this happening to me, why do we keep experiencing the same kinds of events, albeit with different people at different times and in different circumstances. Different boss, different job but eventually he fires me….different partner different relationship but eventually it falls apart…different income different overhead but eventually there’s not enough money to pay the bills….get the idea? Different event but underlying it is the same causality and different though it be, it manages to have the same and an expanded effect on our lives, on our outlook, on our self image.
From a therapeutic viewpoint the first step to stop this cycle is to delete the underlying causes including beliefs, programs, identities, psychological mechanisms and the event itself. That stops the pattern immediately. We will begin to look into this as we finish talking about the repercussions of how we verbalize our lives.
To stop experiencing the same thing, you have to change the program that is creating the same thing, again.
You know Einstein’s premise, the same mind that created the problem cannot solve the problem. There has to be some new information, some different beliefs, some different input. Different programs begin with different stories and different stories begin with different beliefs supported by a different quality of words.
The new and different information, the new attitude, can come by imagining a more fulfilling story in your head and telling it to everyone, or it can come from deliberately creating your new story in your auto pilot and letting that part of the mind do the work for you.
As the master creator of your life you have the gift of imagination which is critical to manifesting. It’s your mind sending out the vibrations that attract your circumstances. No one else is doing anything to you so now that you realize you are totally in charge and empowered, it is up to you to come up with a shift in attitude and beliefs to create a better way of life. No one but us can have any impact on our lives which is total self empowerment and total omission any aspect of co-dependency.
So for now, make up a better story than what you’ve experienced so far. Pick five top elements you want to be part of your life and weave a tale around them using high powered words. Be sure to include gratitude for every good thing you currently have, and gratitude for the five new elements that have changed your life.
Those who understand the power of the word in the law of attraction… will go along with your non-reality based story and even encourage you to speak only positive thoughts about yourself and your life because they are doing the same thing for themselves. They get it that its all about getting in the ‘feel’ of the life they want, and out of the ‘feel’ of the life they have.
I want you to start seeing it, feeling it, and talking about it in a way that will cause it to come into your life. I want you to say it to yourself and others so many times you dream about living your new story. I want you to speak the words of your new story, so many times that you believe it and expect it and as soon as that takes place, you will see it and have it since belief and expectation are precursors to manifestation.
[Of course instead of repeating your custom new story until you believe it, you can take the short cut and just restructure your subconscious mind with your new story. In the next show we’re going to see just how to use Restructuring therapy to accomplish this but let’s finish talking about the impact of your words.]
By replacing your story instead of dressing up the same event in different clothes, you will create a new custom designed order from the universe. I’m a big believer in ordering things up from the universe. The universe is overflowing with abundance so there’s plenty for everyone. There’s an abundance of galaxies, abundance of plant and animal species, abundance of people, abundance of countries with their abundant cultures and spiritual practices, abundance of viewpoints, abundance of food and an abundance of money. Man may not have figured out the distribution system nor the grace of honoring diversity versus judging it, but there is more than enough for everyone and there’s nothing you can create for yourself that in anyway deprives another because there is also plenty for them if that is their plan for this lifetime.
As much as I advised you not to keep repeating the story you don’t want to continue, if you’re getting help with changing your life, you do have to tell it one time to your therapist so they can create a restructuring protocol for you, but you don’t have to repeat it every week for ten years.
The way you frame up your past, current and future life… produces thoughts and feelings of encouragement or discouragement, success or failure, health or illness, happiness or sadness.
Your entire life can turn on a dime when you change the words you use from diminishing ones to life enhancing ones. Words like excitement, prosperity, fortunate, acceptance, allowing, achievement, peace of mind, strength, and so forth alter the quality of your experiences as well as the experiences themselves.
