Healing your body, mind, spirit from extra weight and eating disorders
I have worked with so many women that have body issues that I think would be helpful to address. I would like to share with you some of these questions that were sent it.
How do I heal my body, mind and spirit from an eating disorder? Frances
Frances, I went through the exact thing in which I speak about in my book Body of Love: 57 Secrets in Creating Your Ideal Body Using The Law of Attraction and my system.
I know exactly how you feel it’s very painful to suffer with an eating disorder and years ago when I had one I really didn’t have any kind of support at least in the way that I expected it. I had to take it upon myself to do research and heal myself because at the time I went to a psychologist which didn’t really help me, and it left me with so many unanswered questions.
Eating disorders represent the part of you that has to be in control since everything else in your life doesn’t feel like it is. It’s also a cry for help as it gets attention to say “Hey look at me.” I know I have lived it and can say this with certainty. In my experience with eating disorders and helping other women I have found that the root cause has to do with reject or seeking approval from people. If you don’t have a good relationship with one or both of your parents or maybe men have never paid much attention to you..well this is your way to express it. Relationship issues are tied to body issues. When I found myself gaining weight I was in bad relationships. As soon as they were over my body started to release it.
I want to share with you some powerful tips when healing your body, mind, and spirit from an eating disorder:
1. Go within yourself and ask what do you feel is out of control and out of sync in your life?
2. Are you seeking approval from parents, friends, or others around you.
3. What is the message that you need to hear so you can heal?
4. What is the best step you can take in the right direction?
When you start the dialogue of asking these empowering questions the answers will be revealed to you.
Learn to be gentle with yourself and find a support group and mentor that can help you through this process. If I had what I was looking for when I went through this experience I would have healed faster.
The good thing is , that you can always find support you just need to be willing to be open and receive it.
Take one day at a time and commit to yourself this process in a loving way and you will become a stronger person. Lastly, love yourself for who you are right now and let go of trying to label what you are experiencing as bad..it’s just an experience.
