When we see life getting tough and we might be stock in a situation in which we don’t know where to turn it is good to know and to find comfort that there is someone who we know knows best and that is God himself.  That is what I call achieving maturity in motherhood.

It is okay to admit that we don’t know much and that we need help.  It is challenging to be at the head of a household along with your spouse and have these children depending on you.  It has been said that whenever the mother is happy everyone is happy, she establishes the mood at home.  It is crucial then to understand that even though we might not know how to do everything right there is someone who does. Our children come with different characteristics and talents.  They all have one thing in common though and that is that they are loved by God just like you and I are. We need to be humble and come to that being who knows what is best for us and for our children.  We need to establish a relationship with God and that is when we understand how to become partners with Him and become self sufficient knowing that as long as we do our part God will always do His.  He knows us all and He has a genuine interest in each of us as individuals.  Things don’t happen just because.  He is always watching over us.  He sends angels, loved ones and even Himself is always aware of our needs and takes it upon Himself to answer a prayer when we need it the most.  When we achieve a relationship with God, we have achieved the most precious gift life has to offer!

Our children need us and we need all the help we can get at rearing them in love and patience.  It is our stewardship and responsibility to teach them all they need to know concerning God so they can establish that relationship of trust with God himself.  That way in a time of need they’ll know who to turn to. If we need to teach we need to learn first.  It is great advise to pick up a book of scripture and learn from the Master himself, Jesus Christ, there is wisdom.  We could achieve maturity in motherhood by trusting in God before all things and He will always help us rear these precious children.
