“Well, a mother is  . . . She loves you, cares for you, they try to help you and they share the things they live in their childhood.  They help you if you are in trouble, they help you with school and they help you pick outfits.  When I grow up I want to be a good mother.  I want to love and care for my children.  I’m thankful for my mother because she loves me and helps me when I’m sad.  I’m thankful because she teaches me stuff.”

“I love my mother and whenever I’m sad and people are mean to me she helps me.  I love her a lot because she loves me a lot.  I love her and I know she loves me because she is always there for me.”

“When I think about mothers, I think about love. Mothers are a great example of this virtue. It takes love to teach a child how to walk and talk and everything else that mothers teach their children. Without mothers and the love that they show, the home would cease to be a learning place and haven from the world that children need more than anything else in this world. I am so thankful for my mother and for mothers everywhere who continue to make this world a better place one step at a time. “

“Mothers are here because fathers can't be there all the time. Fathers do help us in a lot of ways, but mothers help us with things that are impossible for fathers to understand. For example you go shopping with father and you find something that's really nice, but when you go to the fitting room you find that it's too big! At this point your father doesn't want to look any more. On the other hand, mothers will continue looking until you find one that is cute and also fits you in size. Daughters look up to their mothers in a way you don't think possible. Once they get married they try their best to be just like their mothers. When I was a little girl about three or four I wanted to be just like my mom, I loved her and obeyed her. Now I am almost in junior high and I don't treat my mom with the respect that she needs and expects from me. I try the best I can every day to be just like I was when I was little and every day  I get a little closer, but I'm still not there. Every day we try to be like little children pure in heart and in mind. Jesus said to become like a little child, pure in heart and in mind. My mom is the greatest mom in the world! That's what all little children say about their moms, but as they get older they start thinking less about their mothers and start thinking about other stuff. They start to disrespect their mothers and start to go against what their mothers taught them all of their lives. When we do that we need to say sorry not only to our mothers but also to God because it is a commandment to honor your father and mother. If we obey all of the easy commandments and just forget the hard ones which includes honor your father and mother. If you realized that is the first one that I mentioned because that has to be the hardest one out of all the 10 commandments, that's the one we all struggle with. But the more you do it the easier it gets. All mothers love their children and all children love their mothers so we need to show our love and appreciation all the time, but also when they most need it. “

“I love my mother and I always will love her.  I like her singing her my favorite song to me.  I like my mom and dad very much."
