A Little Hanky Panky for Valentines Day
Looking for a wonderful gift for Valentine’s Day? Then check out Hanky Panky I recently discovered the Hanky Panky website and I was surprised to learn that their stuff is one size fits all, made in the US and environmentally conscious. Being one size fits all you don’t have to know the size which really makes things easy. They have some really cute sets in different cuts and prints. They also claim to have the world’s most comfortable thong. But wait…there’s more…they have maternity and a line called After Midnight. So indulge your inner flirt for yourself or someone you love. Happy Valentines.
Can Wearing Pretty Lingerie Make You Feel More Confident?
I have to say that I’ve gone through different phases in my life with regards to lingerie. In my 20’s my undergarments were amazing. I spent so much money at Victoria Secret and everything had to match, always. An ex of mine was from Europe and he couldn’t believe how inexpensive our lingerie was here in the US. Most European women put a lot of time, money and thought into their undergarments.
I do have to say that after being married for many years and being a mom that I allowed both my sleepwear and my lingerie to lose its pizzazz. I don’t know why or how this happened. It was slowly over time. As I was packing for a business trip I realized that I would be embarrassed for anyone to see my less than glamorous boudoir apparel.
The solution was to practice what I preach with my clients. I went through my under garments and sleepwear and threw away everything that no longer served me. Wow it was a lot. This forced me to purchase some new items that made me glamorous and sexy.
I had forgotten how great I feel lounging around my bedroom in some cute pajamas. I think I sleep better.
Here are some things that I discovered from wearing nice lingerie. Read more ...
Create Your Own Style
With last Thursday being Fashions Night Out and the kick off to fall fashion I thought I would address trends. With each new season we see trends come and go. In 10 years from now some of the trends may make us wonder what society and fashion designers were thinking.
In my “5 Weeks to Fabulous” class I teach how to determine your style today. We all go through phases and its important to be authentic to who you are. Maybe you are the “Trendy” girl and I say go for it, get the latest and greatest and be admired by women everywhere for being the fashionista that you are.
However, if you’re like most women that I know you’re so busy with life that keeping up with fashion is the last thing on your mind. However, I know you care about your appearance and want to look your best spending the least amount of money and time. Right?
So it’s ok if you’re not always wearing the latest trend but it’s not ok to be stuck in a time warp. Be sure when your putting clothes together that they are still current and in style. Being in style doesn’t mean trendy. Trends and fads come and go. The most important thing is how your clothes make you feel. If they don’t make you feel great, get rid of them. Your style is your expression to the world, so express yourself fashionably every day! No exceptions.
How is Your Body Image?
I don’t know about you but I’m my worst critic. I remember when I was 28, in great shape and I would look in the mirror at all of my flaws. At 40 now what I wouldn’t give for that 28 year old body. I wish I had appreciated it when I had it.
So now I’m working on getting as close as I can to that 28 year old body. I have a personal trainer, I’m eating right and taking care of myself. I get massages and go to a chiropractor. I really try to pamper myself when I can. Manicure and Pedicures are great ways as well.
What I’ve also learned from the past is that things can always be better, but they can also be worse. I may not be completely happy with my physical body today but it is much better than it was when I gave birth to my oldest son 10 years ago. In fact I’m in better shape now than I was a year ago. I’m thankful for that and I’m going to appreciate myself for where I am right now.
Summer is here and its time to get a new swimsuit. I’m actually looking forward to it this year because I appreciate myself for who I am. It’s so much more fun to go through the world confidently. Why stress over cellulite or a few extra pounds? Most people are so consumed with themselves and their own flaws that they don’t notice yours anyway.
