The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth Vol I, Truth#10 UNDERSTAND
Hello Sisters and Brothers of the WIN. The book signing held last week, Saturday June 25, 2011 at Emmy Lu Art Gallerie in Beverly Hills, CA. was the perfect blend of style, class, talent and fun. From the exquisite cuisine prepared by Karen Stackfield of Kaye's Kitchen, to the devine music provided by Harpist Mariea Antoinette on her "roving" harp, to the freeflowing bar hosted by Denita Huerta and the exemplary service provided by Ms. Jessica Pacheco. All was in devine order. I promise to keep you all abreast of future events.
Please enjoy this next installment of The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of nothing But The Truth, Vol 1, Truth #10, UNDERSTAND
Understand your G-d, your you and all those you
consider family and friends. Understand that G-d
is G-d and you are not. You are of G-d, as G-d, in
and with G-d, but you never created a living thing
that didn’t already posses the breath of life. Even
the seed you delivered and child you bore were
gifts given to a vessel to carry the essence of G-d.
Understand yourself as only G-d does. Try to know
your whys and to diminish your because’s. Under
stand that your family and friends have their issues
and therefore welcome to them.
Understand the good and the necessity for the evil.
Understand the balance of the universe and that it’s
not personal, it just is. Be willing to understand the
fit of the shoe two sizes too small or large.
Understand your place in the universe and the
power and energy you possess because you exist in it.
Look for the next installment as we go to Vol II. Truth

And my radio show has opened a new door to opportunity. Lately I have been creating radio commercials and doing well at it. I have a recording studio in my home that I had been using for my own personal needs. It dawned on me one day that I was allowing myself to be put to waste. I was sitting on a money keg and doing nothing with it. So, one day, I suggested to a guest who was scheduled to be on my radio show, that I could do a commercial for her, to help promote her charity, The Rose Breast Cancer Society. She said yes. I kept my fees low and quality high. She hired me to do another commercial and then told others about my work. Since then I have been busier than I could ever have expected. Read more ...
Is It OK To Boast?
You have been bestowed an honor, you won an award, you got a great raise, you were able to work out a deal no one else could pull off. You have experienced any number of successes in your life and you want to share your joy. But you are fearful of "boasting" on your good furtune. Societal mores dictate that you be gracious and pat yourself on the back quietly and privately. When do you put aside what everyone considers to be "bragging" and allow yourself to tell the world know how good you feel about yourself? Should you not care?
I was led to ask my self these very questions. Recently, I was nominated for a couple categories in the 2011 Women Making A Differnce Awards sponsored by the Los Angeles Business Journal and Union Bank. I sat on the news of my nomination for over two weeks battling with myself over whether I would openly share the news. Now, when I look back on it, I culd kick myself for not doing so sooner. There is nothing, absolutly nothing wrong or erronous about celebrating your successes. Absoluytly nothing wrong with letting the world in on your triumphs.
We are so keen on sharing the things which are hurtful, sad, disturbing and all around helter skelter in our every day lives, and yet, we become mute when the opportunity to pat ourselves on the back comes along.
Here is my promise to myself. No longer shall I keep quiet about the great and powerful successes that are happening to me. Why should i? I have worked hard and have been dillegent about caring for and giving of myself to others in the hopes of making this world a better place. I am proud of what I do to make each and everyone feel good about themselves.
Please join me in this pledge to self: Read more ...

The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth
You're working on a project, totally concentrated and someone walks in and says, without provocation, "You need to relax". You look up from your feverish typing and wonder, "What are they talking about? I am relaxed." Or, you're making an impassioned comment about a news report or incident you are witnessing on the television and your spouse or partner or even teenager says, "Honey/Mom, you need to chill out. Breathe why don't you!" And you look perplexed, because last time you checked, you were relaxed, not tense at all, or were you really? Many of us find ourselves so tense, so wound up, we're not even aware of the picture we paint from the outside looking in. To you , you are calm cool and collected, to the world you represent a bundle of pinched nerves, frayed and ready to pop like an over blown balloon or too wound up rubber band. Here are a couple exercises for you to use to unwind, to chill out, to just relax.... Read more ...
The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of nothing But The Truth, VOL 1, Truth #7 REMEMBER
Remember when you were young and you promised yourself you would remember not to do to your kids what your parents were doing to you? Remember your pledge to be "Best Friends Forever" as you pricked each others' finger tips and became blood Sisters/Brothers? Remember how you felt when you first fell in love, when you first had your heart boken, when you realized your love of self and recognized the power of a G-d with-in?
If you don't, that's O.K. Right now, I encourage you to close your eyes, breathe slowly and deeply, with purpose. Relax and go back to a time when clutter referred to your room, not your mind; to a time when quiet time was built into your daily routine and you took the time to remember "the good 'ol days". Now, remember, remember, remember......
REMEMBER.
Remember to remember your G-d, your you
and those you consider your family and friends.
Remember they are as important to your life as
you are. Each and all helped in some way in the
creation and development of who you are
now. Their input might not show up 'till later
in your life, but I guarantee you’ll recognize it
when it does, if you remember to remember.
Remember the bad times along with the
good. Remember the hurt along with the feel
good. Remember everything then nothing at
all. Don’t attach to the memories, attach to
the outcome of their impact.
Remember to always consider you first, not
above anyone or anything else, just you first.
Remember to pay attention to what you say
how you say when you say what you say. It
does matter. Always remember to love
yourself. Read more ...
The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The truth, Vol 1, Truth #6
When you're working toward a goal, do you find you have to continually remind yourself what the motivation for accomplishing that goal is? That you have to encourage yourself to do what must be done to accomplish that goal? You realize, that in order to succeed, hoping for a positive outcome just isn't enough. So how do you get beyond the want to succeed? What must you do to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that what you set your mind to do, what you put your time, effort and talent into, will come to fruition?
The answer is simple. You must BELIEVE, more than anything else, in your ability to do what you set out to do. You start with preparation, which includes research, investigation, and thinking outside the box. How many times have you looked for your keys and only find them when you look where they absolutely could not nor should ever be? You know what I'm talking about, don't you? Then you develop a plan, work that plan and ultimately your goal is accomplished.
Fostering BELIEF in self requires an acceptance of your true capacity. If your capacity is lacking, the onus is upon you to educate yourself, to acquaint yourself with the knowledge needed to accomplish your goals. Believe in your ability, know and develop your capacity and success will be yours.
BELIEVE.
Believe with all your heart in your G-d, your you,
and in all those you consider family and friends.
Believe in a G-d, Supreme Being, greater-than-thou,
greater-than-you kind of entity. It’s all semantics.
I think you know what I mean.
Believing isn’t about a Pollyanna rose colored
glasses dream of what you think life should be. It’s Read more ...
She Taught Me How To Dance Though She Never Walked A Day In Her Life
When I was little, up until I was in high school, I danced to the beat of a different drummer. Remember that film, White Men Can't Jump? Well this half Jewish half Black girl; that's what we were called when I was a kid, now referred to as African American; couldn't dance her way out of a paper bag. Mind you, I began working professionally, as a choreographer, when I was eight years old. I was in third grade attending Saint Andrews Elementary, and these girls who attended the attached all girl high school, heard about me, and hired me to choreograph a dance number for them for their talent show. I had an uncanny ability to see every aspect of the piece; the music, the costume, how the hair would flow, utilizing all the elements of dance; time, space and energy, variations, level changes and intra-spacial concepts. Most of my friends thought me strange indeed, because, although I could choreograph, I could not dance. I remember the day I ran to my sister Ri R, crying and lamenting because they, my brother and sister, were making fun of me and calling me names, like, Casper, Honkey, Whitey, red neck, because I didn't dance like them. Below are excerpts from The ORACLE Speaks … just because which explain Why I Dance in the face of adversity and despair.

Excerpts from The Oracle speaks... just because
"my sister Bessie Maria Lyles had muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy. She never walked a day in her life. As a child I danced to the beat of a different drummer. My sister taught me how to dance while sitting in her bed. She would say, “hold on to the door knob. Now, bend your knees, snap your fingers.” Ri Ri taught me to marvel at being able to use my feet, stand on my two legs and dance for joy. I dance forevermore in her name. pg. 125 Read more ...
The ORACLE PresentsTen Pages of Nothing But The Truth Vol. !, Truth #4 "LIVE"
I just spent the most life changing six days surrounded by the most awesome people you can imagine.
The first four days were as a participant at Author 101 University at the LAX Westin. I was surrounded by authors and publishers and publicists and literary agents and some of the most determined and forward moving folk you can imagine. The information I gleaned from the association with Rick Frishman and his lovely wife Robin and everyone on his staff made a difference in my life. I was affirmed in the things which I am on the right track with and counseled on those things which I found I need to revisit and make better. The level of consciousness of all involved from the newbee writer to the seasond publisher was well into the hemisphere and I felt at home.
The next two days were spent with Paula Fellingham, NJ NItchell, Pamela, Aggie, Linda, Randy, Sarah, and if I have forgotten your name, know that I have not forgotten you, and all the rest... Steven the sound guy, the great guys taking photos and manning the cameras, my friends Robbie Motter and Ms. Fanny, my new Grandma. You all made me feel as a member of a great big universally global family. I know, you here this kind of gush all the time and wonder whether the hype is greater than the word. I tell you, it is not. What I gained form my association with the WIN family and the opportunity to work on the production of the celelebration of the International Women's Day at the LAX Raddison is this; This Is Our Time, more specifically, THIS IS MY TIME, and I'm ready to live life like I've never lived it before. Thank you NJ for taking a chance with me. Thank you Paula for believing in NJ's choices and for accepting me, thank you Randy and Linda for loving me so instantly, thank you Robbie Motter for insisting I SHOW UP! I'm showing up for life as I live my dreams in the company of women who care; women helping women. Read more ...
The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth VOL. I, Truth #3
When I first thought to write my first book back when my second daughter was two years old, she is now 20, it was going to be a Mommy Dearest, Snow White, Cinderella kind of tell all book. From the beatings to the molestations to the spiritual, physical and emotional abuse, I was going to tell it all. Though, in 2003, when I began to write on that first page, I found I was slightly embarrassed, even though I had shared my stories with countless others prior to this.
There was nothing to be ashamed of. What it was, is that I didn't think people really wanted to know the gory details. I felt what they really wanted was to know how I was so happy all the time. Why is it I didn't seem scarred or spiritually injured by what I had experienced? I realized that that was the story. Not the bad stuff that I actually had to go through, but the good that got me through it.
As a life coach, I find it necessary to speak to those "issues" without being too personal. Many of my clients are really taken aback to know I had suffered life experiences way beyond the everyday issues they face. The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth came from my atempt to answer the question, "Are you always this happy?" Usually I would tell them, 'not always, I have my days just like you. Only it lasts only for a moment, maybe an hour or two, but it always takes way more energy to stay in those dark places. I'd rather be in the light.'
The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth was my way of answering that question. I decided to write down some basic truths that help to keep me "happy" all the time; things I have been taught, or picked up along the way on my journey through life.
Please enjoy the third installment from VOL. I, Truth #3, DEDICATE.
