Higher Peaks
Years ago, before I was blessed with children, I had an opportunity to spend a wonderful week of holiday on the NSW ski slopes with my husband. He had learned to ski as a child, and was capable of skiing 'black' runs, whilst I had never skied before. We decided that I would take 2-hour lessons each morning with an instructor, and then we'd meet up at lunch time and ski the 'easier' slopes together in the afternoon.
I picked up the skills required fairly quickly, and with my ski instructor or my husband by my side to supervise me I showed a great deal of confidence and ability. By the end of the week, after 10 hours of instruction, my lessons were over. I had some time before I was to meet my husband for lunch, so I decided to tackle a slightly harder ski run on my own.
There was a T-bar lift on a slope which I'd been skiing for most of the week. During lessons my instructor and I would disembark at a flat level half way up the slope. There was another flat level further up, followed by a steep rise to the peak. I decided to venture up to the higher flat level and disembark.
When I approached the second flat level I called out to the two gentlemen ahead of me on the T-bar to let them know I was disembarking, and to be aware that my T-bar may swing towards them. It was unlikely, but I decided to warn them as a courtesy. Their response both surprised and intimidated me: "If your bar hits me," said one man, "I'll sue you!" I gulped. The other man scowled, "You shouldn't be on this lift if you can't cope with the slope!" So, rather than disembark I found my skis angling upwards as I continued on the steep slope to the peak. The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth Vol I, Truth#10 UNDERSTAND
Hello Sisters and Brothers of the WIN. The book signing held last week, Saturday June 25, 2011 at Emmy Lu Art Gallerie in Beverly Hills, CA. was the perfect blend of style, class, talent and fun. From the exquisite cuisine prepared by Karen Stackfield of Kaye's Kitchen, to the devine music provided by Harpist Mariea Antoinette on her "roving" harp, to the freeflowing bar hosted by Denita Huerta and the exemplary service provided by Ms. Jessica Pacheco. All was in devine order. I promise to keep you all abreast of future events.
Please enjoy this next installment of The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of nothing But The Truth, Vol 1, Truth #10, UNDERSTAND
Understand your G-d, your you and all those you
consider family and friends. Understand that G-d
is G-d and you are not. You are of G-d, as G-d, in
and with G-d, but you never created a living thing
that didn’t already posses the breath of life. Even
the seed you delivered and child you bore were
gifts given to a vessel to carry the essence of G-d.
Understand yourself as only G-d does. Try to know
your whys and to diminish your because’s. Under
stand that your family and friends have their issues
and therefore welcome to them.
Understand the good and the necessity for the evil.
Understand the balance of the universe and that it’s
not personal, it just is. Be willing to understand the
fit of the shoe two sizes too small or large.
Understand your place in the universe and the
power and energy you possess because you exist in it.
Look for the next installment as we go to Vol II. Truth

Christine talks to Rachel about her show content, passions, experience and a change which lead to her building a new life.
A Leap Of Faith
A Leap Of Faith is the title of a chapter I wrote for the book The Power of 100 and it aptly describes how I came to be writing this blog in anticipation of an interview for my first The WINonline Show tomorrow.
Not that long ago I was living a completely different life where the idea of running my own training company, being an author, speaking internationally, and having my own show, was not even remotely on my radar.
This journey has certainly been an amazing one.
I feel so privileged to be invited to host an online show and I am looking forward to sharing many tips and strategies, as well as interviewing some wonderful people who are willing to give freely of their knowledge and experience in order to help others.
The show is called 'Defining Your Edge' and will cover an array of topics, some of which are:
• Defining Your Competitive Edge
• Building a Service Culture
• A Business is Like a Gift
• Your Personal Brand is Your Professional Brand
• The Power of Attitude
Please join me, where I hope you will enjoy what I share with you.
Kind regards
Christine

The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth
You're working on a project, totally concentrated and someone walks in and says, without provocation, "You need to relax". You look up from your feverish typing and wonder, "What are they talking about? I am relaxed." Or, you're making an impassioned comment about a news report or incident you are witnessing on the television and your spouse or partner or even teenager says, "Honey/Mom, you need to chill out. Breathe why don't you!" And you look perplexed, because last time you checked, you were relaxed, not tense at all, or were you really? Many of us find ourselves so tense, so wound up, we're not even aware of the picture we paint from the outside looking in. To you , you are calm cool and collected, to the world you represent a bundle of pinched nerves, frayed and ready to pop like an over blown balloon or too wound up rubber band. Here are a couple exercises for you to use to unwind, to chill out, to just relax.... Read more ...
The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of nothing But The Truth, VOL 1, Truth #7 REMEMBER
Remember when you were young and you promised yourself you would remember not to do to your kids what your parents were doing to you? Remember your pledge to be "Best Friends Forever" as you pricked each others' finger tips and became blood Sisters/Brothers? Remember how you felt when you first fell in love, when you first had your heart boken, when you realized your love of self and recognized the power of a G-d with-in?
If you don't, that's O.K. Right now, I encourage you to close your eyes, breathe slowly and deeply, with purpose. Relax and go back to a time when clutter referred to your room, not your mind; to a time when quiet time was built into your daily routine and you took the time to remember "the good 'ol days". Now, remember, remember, remember......
REMEMBER.
Remember to remember your G-d, your you
and those you consider your family and friends.
Remember they are as important to your life as
you are. Each and all helped in some way in the
creation and development of who you are
now. Their input might not show up 'till later
in your life, but I guarantee you’ll recognize it
when it does, if you remember to remember.
Remember the bad times along with the
good. Remember the hurt along with the feel
good. Remember everything then nothing at
all. Don’t attach to the memories, attach to
the outcome of their impact.
Remember to always consider you first, not
above anyone or anything else, just you first.
Remember to pay attention to what you say
how you say when you say what you say. It
does matter. Always remember to love
yourself. Read more ...

What's Love Got To Do With It
When the LORD began to speak through Hosea, the LORD said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the LORD.” 3 So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son. Hosea 1:2-3
God came to Hosea and told him to marry a prostitute and have children with her. Can you imagine how Hosea must've felt? Here he was a man of God; a man with a reputation to uphold. What would the people think? Nonetheless he did just what God told him. He married Gomer who was not only herself a prostitue but so was her mother. Hosea and Gomer had three children two of whom were fathered by other men while Gomer was married to Hosea. Sounds like a soap opera right?
One day Hosea got fed up and decided he wanted to divorce Gomer. But that didn't stop her. She got dressed up and proceeded to go out on the town and do what she did best. Hosea's love however was so strong he just couldn't let her go. He decided he would try one more time to make a home with Gomer, letting her know he loved he no matter what she'd done. Hosea goes into town pays for Gomer with 15 pieces of silver and sure enough the light comes on and Gomer repents of her promiscuous ways and all is well. Read more ...
