In this Session 5 I review the reactions and resistance many of you experienced over the past week when you entered in to new discussions about money - how you spend it and how you save it - with your spouse or partner.  And most of you did not get an Agreement.  That is okay because previously, I shared that it takes between 3 weeks and 3 months to gain full Agreement and be ready for Action.  Even if you are single you must "have a talk with yourself" and get the same Agreement and commitment to yourself for your actions.

During this past week you began the talks with your spouse or partner.  Congratulations - remember, we are not here to passively listen but to take real action for real changes and real results.

Those of you that tried to discuss money with your honey ran into one of the 7 Types of Resistance.  To be honest, you've most likely displayed one of the seven yourself.  This is bonus information that is not in my free ebook Back From The Financial Brink (at www.gwentaylor.com) and is intended to help you advance your discussions forward.

The purpose of this information is to help you organize what is happening during your discussions so that you can persevere and continue the discussions.  There are several tactics in the Back From The Financial Brink that we didn't cover but Session 5's new information is extremely useful in understanding reactions and resistance.

I suggest blending this Session 5 with my ebook information so that you eventually get the 3 Outcomes for an Agreement:

  1. You (single or couple) want to spend and save money in new ways for a new and different LifeStyle
  2. You are committed to having a new financial attitude
  3. You will stick with this especially when it (seems) tough - fyi, it gets easier every day
