"College Planning" These words can bring panic to a parents' heart. Especially since most aren't truly planning until the due dates are upon us. The good news is there is hope, even for procrastinators. Whew!
In a continuing effort to help you maximize your money and minimize your financial mistakes I invite you to listen to my interview with Dave Coen who specializes in helping parents with the best strategies to help parents and teenagers, yes even already in high school, to not only fund a child's college education, but to do it without sacrificing the parents' retirement. How great is that!
A few myths commonly believed are:
- The only option for my child is commuting to community college if we don't have a lot of money.
- If we have assets and make good money there is no way we will get any financial aid for our children.
- Private schools always cost more than state schools.
These are just a few of the myths that abound when we think of college planning.
