The Construct of Choice Part 2 Belief, Understanding and Don't Take Anything Personally
There are two kinds of belief systems that may emerge from our perception:
1. A belief system that is alive, growing and open.
2. A belief system that is self-defeating.
Every individual who chooses to develop spiritually already has a belief system within them. Whether it is a conscious choice or a consequence of their life experiences and up-bringing, their belief system is already active.
For those of us who desire to develop and to move forward we need to overcome the beliefs that are limiting to us in one way or another.
These are certainly not the only beliefs we have. There are beliefs that support us in living a well lived life and they are to be nourished, however, even these positive beliefs can lose their potency and become self-defeating as our lives and stories change.
Simply speaking:-
SENSATIONS lead to PERCEPTION lead to FEELINGS lead to BELIEFS
We have the power to change our beliefs at any time indeed it is often the most liberating experience to do so.
Understanding
Exploring our beliefs can help us understand how we came to create them. Being aware that we have perceptions, and that they may be outdated and require a new assessment, is the first step towards self-love and love of others. For those of us who desire to develop spiritually and to move forward, we need to overcome beliefs that limit us in one way or another
One way to shift from limiting choices to unlimiting choices is to remember not to take anything personally.
