DALIA  DIOR- Singer, Actress, Musician, Peace Maker and simply a beautiful soul

Dahlia Dior was born in Jerusalem. She is a singer of enormous vitality and energy, and her unique vocal talents have gained her international acclaim. Dahlia can authentically sing and interpret songs from all over the world, and is indeed one of the most versatile vocalists, singing in many different styles and languages.

Dahlia has performed internationally at the world famous Paris Olympia, prominent clubs in London’s West End, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. In Australia Dahlia toured with Jan Pierce and the Zim Brothers, and performed on the bill with Ray Charles, Blood Sweat and Tears, Matt Monroe, Col Joye, and the Four Kingsmen. Dahlia’s multi-ethnic repertoire was particularly popular on cruise ships around the Mediterranean and South East Asia, and international corporate functions.

And although all this would be enough to make her one  a national treasure her versitality  cannot be overlooked. She is a consummate singer of jazz ballads, cabaret, authentic interpretation of world music in many languages (French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Hebrew, Greek, Yiddish, Ladino, Portuguese, Japanese and many more), lecturer/performer of Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) music, and corporate and social function entertainer (soloist with single musician, small ensemble or big band).

And if this is not enough Dalia Dior overcomes more than many of us ever undergo.

In 2009 Dalia experienced a year she will never forget. She graduated with Masters degree in musicology in May, was run over by a 4-wheel drive car on a pedestrian crossing, her dad got sick, she went to Israel in September and in October he passed away. Now, two years later she is making a great contribution to her sister who is now thankfully in remission from ovarian cancer. In two years time she will be  celebrating 50 years as an actress/singer.
