The Last Few Days...When Your Loved One is Dying...
For this show, I will present a Nurse named Chantal who has worked with patients and families of their loved ones who are dying.
If you have elderly loved ones who are sadly at the end stage of life - this interview with Chantal might be helpful in preparation of those final difficult moments, as it may help to know what changes might happen in those final days and why they are happening.
It's normal that some people may be upset by some of the changes that happen to a loved one who is dying: Chantal presents us with an overview as to what to expect - such as:
- changes in breathing
- changes in their appearance,
- input and output changes (eating and urine), etc...
*Please note this only pertains to the specific Geriatric population and some Cancer patients.
If anyone has any comments, I encourage you to let me know how you feel about how my topic is presented and I would like to say a big big thanks to Chantal for being a loving, kind, caring person...exactly what I think of when I think of a Nurse.
Thank you once again for tuning in and being courageous...
FOLLOWING SHOW: On Tuesday, May 3rd I lost a friend and colleague of mine suddenly, and will dedicate my show to the memory of Darryl.
Hugs,
