Life, Law, and Not Enough Shoes
Judith Fordham has worn zebra-print shoes into a courtroom, represented transsexuals, bikers, alleged murderers and rapists and raised four children on her own. Life, Law and Not Enough Shoes is her story, from her early life struggling on welfare to becoming a barrister and Associate Professor of Forensic Science.
Her bold approach to life and law is inspiring, and her stories about the world of crime and justice are fascinating. From a well known baby-shaking case to the forensic science of decomposing flesh, this is a no-holds-barred account of crime and the law.
And then there are the shoes. In lighter moments, she tells of using a pink shoe phone in her early career (much to the annoyance of her then boss). Now she has the State Director of Public Prosecutions sipping champagne out of her own designer shoe. Judith Fordham has managed to find fun outside the dark world of forensics and crime.
Being a female criminal defense attorney specializing in forensic science in what is largely still a man's world is a challenge. Judith Fordham has risen to the challenge and can see all that is funny in this very small sandbox. Please join me for this interview with my dear friend Judith as she talks about her book, Life, Law, and Not Enough Shoes. You can also enter a contest to win a free copy of her book at my website http://www.christinefunk.net.
Best,
Christine
