Practicing Lovingkindness
The Gift of Lovingkindness- It's not what you think!
When 30 counsellors graduated today from the Metavision Institute in Bowral NSW they took away far more than their diplomas.
They also took away a deep understanding of who they are. This is the single most important thing any human being can do at this time. Know who you are.
Until we remember who we are, until we realised we are not our gender, our role, our function, our attitudes or beliefs, until we life our energy up and connect to the spark of essence that is truly who we are , we will continue to be buffeted and knocked around, impacted and impressed by mass consciousness.
The Metavision Institute The Metavision Institute was founded by a visionary by the name of Christina Neilson, who I hope to have the great pleasure in interviewing in the not too distant future. She opened this place of learning in 2003 to facilitate and drive the evolution and synthesis of new methods in holistic healthcare, psychotherapy, counselling, mentoring, coaching and supervision. http://metavision.com.au/
Some of the talk was on a little known quality taught to me by my spiritual teacher many years ago. It is called Lovingkindness.
When we sit before a person seeking our attention and serve them from Lovingkindness we recognise the great wisdom, that is inside them. We see it in them because we have it in us.
There is no right answer and more than that, I believe there are no mistakes. I believe that as long we come from the heart we can do no harm. And although we can never be sure we can help, we can make certain that we do no harm. And the way to do that is this. Let every word you say simply come from your heart. Let go of rationalising, analysing, assessing or strategising. Open the ear inside your heart and listen. First of all to what you clients are telling you and then to what the mind inside your heart is telling you.
The mind inside the heart is a very different mind. It comes from a much higher plane of consciousness than the mind in your head. It sees, hears, feels and knows. It doesn’t think.
