"We’re standing at the sunset with the waves at our feet and there’s beautiful glow on all the women’s faces. I was spontaneously sininging a song of blessing and I just felt the past melt away and I was able to claim the space to be really present for whatever would arise in that moment and during the retreat...Later that day I got to hear the women’s heartfelt reasons they were called to retreat and I no longer felt alone. I had found my sisters."

This is how Bentley Kalaway, speaker, author and inspirational singer/songwriter began her journey into the Peaceful Woman retreat. Little did she know that her life would change in ways she could never imagine, and her whole relationship with her creativity would blossom. Fast forward a year and she was in the finals in a songwriting competition, and her new themesong 'This is our time' would soon begin to spread virally as an uplifting anthem to empower women all over the world.

Bentley shares the deep shared passion that women on the retreat shared to embrace their next steps - positively leaning forwards into the future.

"I felt that the sisters that had walked with me on the retreat were lovingly holding me in truest and best light so began to write songs in Hawaiian and English." Bentley shares a special experience that led to the creation of a whole new way of expressing her talents in Hawaiian as well as English.
