Are you a bouncer when you’re at work?

Do you bounce distractedly through your day from one task to another, e-mail to phone call to e-mail again, like hopping from one stepping stone to another to cross a stream?

The problem with bouncing from task to task is that you may not be following a solid plan, one that holds your highest priorities, keeps you on track and guides you deliberately through your day.

But that’s only half the battle.

The other half is falling prey to distractions no matter how solid your plan and today’s show is all about managing or eliminating the distractions that pull you away from your top tasks and priorities.

On today’s show you’ll learn:

  • The difference between legitimate work breaks and distractions
  • The damage caused for you and others by following distractions instead of staying focused
  • Two easy ways stay focused and finish what you start:

It’s time to take control! Your ability to achieve your goals and reach your next level of success rest on many factors, not the least of which is how well you protect and use your time. Don’t let it go to distractions that take you off course to leave you wondering what you did all day and asking, “Where did my day go?”
