My step-daughters have grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area.  One of them told me a few years ago that she is a fully empowered woman, because she has been able to "take her turn" creatively, in terms of her lifestyle, sexually and sensuously, spiritually and with incredible people who are part of her life.

I can't say that was so for me.  As a psychotherapist for the past nearly 40 years, and as a woman who has a foot firmly planted in both the 20th and 21st Centuries, I have had to learn how to "Take My Turn." 

I believe we are ALL supposed to Take Our Turn here on the earth--filling up the "space" we are meant to take up on the earth, expressing our talents, setting firm boundaries, doing the things we love, being loved and loving others, being strong emotionally, physically and personally, and more.  My co-host, Life Coach Deki Fox, and I, are excited to be bringing the world our "Taking My Turn" program, because we want to share all we've learned about being the full, magnificient, loving and powerful beings we are within our souls, expressing that to our fullest ability during our life here on the earth.

Today, my youngest daughter (22) came home from a meeting related to work she is leaving on Tuesday to do in the jungles of Ecuador.  "Everything is falling into place, almost magically!" she said to me.  "I am set up to do the work that I've been dreaming for several years about doing!  And I did learn that I have to remain empowered in order to really get done what I want to do."  We talked a bit about empowerment.  "It's living from the 'inside out,'" we agreed.  "Identifying what's in your heart, going for it (saying "how can I get there?" and not "I have to give up because there's no way."), sharing the love in your heart, setting personal boundaries and living according to your own ideals and principles."
