Our Leader, Dr. Paula Fellingham
The Women’s Information Network has a strong, talented, experienced Team and hundreds of amazing experts around the world, but WIN began with just one woman with a dream.
The woman is Paula Fellingham. This is her story…
Paula grew up in Los Angeles, received a B.A. in Music and Physical Education at Occidental College, then taught at Agoura High School before she and her husband, Dr. Gil Fellingham, started their family. They later moved to Sequim,Washington where they began raising their seven children.
The Fellingham family spent 12 summers performing as a band in 42 states, several countries, and at the United Nations. During their last performing summer (1999) they presented 273 shows in a theater in Chicago (that’s 5 shows a day and 6 on the weekends!)
After raising her children, receiving her Doctorate of Education in Human Relations, writing five books, starting and growing three other businesses, and giving hundreds of presentations as a professional speaker, in 2006 Paula Fellingham started a women’s seminar company called “Ignite Your Life Seminars.” From September 2007 until June 2008 Paula presented seminars in 32 cities, several days a week, from 1:00 to 3:30pm and 7:00 to 9:30pm.
During her seminars Paula taught life-changing principles from her fifth book Believe It! Become It! How to Hurdle Barriers and Excel Like Never Before. Paula also sold four $5,000 (each) year-long programs: How to Write a Book in 90 Days or Less; How to Become a Professional Speaker; How to Start a Successful Online Business; How to Eliminate Debt.
When Paula returned home after being mostly on the road for 9 months, she was exhausted mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. She thought, “There’s got to be an easier way!! I know there are marvelous experts who want to share their messages from home (very appealing to her then) and share them with women all over the world in their homes, for free. I need to find those women (and some men :)) who share my mission “to strengthen women and families worldwide” and give them a platform. And we need to make it a place where women can talk to each other in forums. And, of course, we need to hold many live events where we can connect with one another heart-to-heart!”
And The Women’s Information Network was born.
Paula believes she was guided to create WIN ~ a place where women help women, worldwide.
Yes, Paula wants not only to strengthen women in her country, she deeply desires to touch the hearts and help improve the lives of women around the globe.
Now WIN is growing quickly and new programs are added monthly. Paula and her WIN Team are currently duplicating WIN in many countries. And they’re organizing the largest gathering of women in the history of the world on the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day. See www.InternationalWomensDay.org.
Additionally, Paula and members of the WIN Team will be visiting 14 countries during 2011 presenting Global Women’s Summits. (See Beyond March 8th or Global Women’s Summits on www.InternationalWomensDay.org) .
The WIN officially launched on September 26, 2009, and already has hundreds of experts and quality audio and video shows and hundreds of well-written articles. The WIN has presented many successful online campaigns, created an online television show, and presented 20 successful live events across the United States and in Canada. And that’s just the beginning! In 2011 The WIN presented 405 live events worldwide, and in 2012 we'll present 1,500 events in 152 countries!
The WIN is now The Premier Media and Social Network for Women. They’re creating a massive global women’s community of women helping women in their personal lives, in their families, and in their businesses.
