New Online Destination Engages Women by Integrating Expert Solutions for Needs of a Thriving Market

SALT LAKE CITY, September 23, 2009

The Women’s Information Network (The WIN) (www.thewinonline.com), officially announced today that their premier media and social network for all women—all ages, will roll out on September 26, 2009.

Details about the launch: www.thewinonline.com/official-launch-womens-information-network

In response to the growing need to strengthen women and families worldwide, The WIN becomes the first entity of its kind to provide a stage of high-quality content presented by experts incorporating a lively mix of formats, including articles, audio and video shows that address relevant, timely topics for women—the largest demographic group online today.

“The WIN is more than an online informational resource, it’s a Community of women helping women,” said Paula Fellingham, founder and CEO of The WIN. “In addition to delivering excellent content, we connect women through groups, forums and face-to-face social networking opportunities.”

According to a recent social media survey by BlogHer, 42 million women in the United States participate in social media at least weekly. It suggests as they spend more time with social media, women are spending correspondingly less time with traditional media.

With no membership requirement, www.thewinonline.com consists of 15+ channels hosted by more than 200 Show Hosts helping women focus on life-changing issues such as health and wellness, career and finance, as well as retirement.

“Today we see recurring themes of reinvention, but women often aren’t quite sure where to start,” Fellingham said. “We want our Community within The WIN to discover how our platform will allow them to discover solutions for their lives, share their ideas with others and really connect with women worldwide.”

Launch Event
The WIN will celebrate its launch “Everyone’s a Celebrity,” on Saturday, September 26, beginning at 2:00 pm at Salt Lake Community College – Larry Miller Campus, 9750 S. 300 W, Sandy, Utah.
