1,000 Things to Be Thankful For
Join my family tradition this year.
First, let me tell you about a book we started all the way back in 1996. We put a notebook out on the kitchen counter and together as a family (and friends who visited), we wrote 1,000 things we were thankful for.
And I just discovered that my daughter Anne has kept this tradition alive for 15 years, no matter where she's been—even living in a different country.
We're continuing the tradition here on the blog and I want you to join me to make it bigger.
Watch the video and read below to find out how you can in just one minute (And hear the sweet first entries my husband Jon wrote, all the way back in 1996!)...
Consider this blog post a thankful notebook, sitting out on my kitchen counter. You've dropped by today and I invite you to write in it by leaving a comment. Simple as that.
Together, we'll create 1,000 expressions of gratitude, right here in the comments section, by Thanksgiving Day!
Let's Write 1,000 Thanks! (Here's How It Works)
- Write a comment here on the blog, answering the question: What are you thankful for?
- Include the number of your post (look at the number of the most recent comment).
- You can write more than one thankful note! Just use separate comments.
- Don't worry about repeating someone else.
- It can be something very simple... what are you thankful for this minute?
Let's create an energy of monumental gratitude in anticipation for a day of thanks.
To start off, I'm thankful for you! Thanks for joining me here today. And thanks for leaving your thankful comment... every single comment gets us one closer to 1,000. You matter very much!
I'll post an update on our progress next week. And I'll let you know how this project goes on Thanksgiving Day.
Now leave a thankful comment—and go start your own thankful book!
