Almond milk recipe
Welcome to the Connect with Nutrition show. I thought I'd start with something simple, practical and really delicious, so I hope you enjoy my first offering to you.
This wonderful almond milk recipe is a gentle, nourishing alternative to dairy milk.
It's great on its own, added to porridge or used in other recipes.
Also try adding vanilla pods, cinnamon or nutmeg, or perhaps flax oil and bee pollen or spirulina.
You can also make this with almost any nuts or seeds.
*TOP TIP: peel the almonds and use only a small amount of water to make almond cream - or an easier version is cashew nut cream, where there's no peeling involved! Just soak the cashews for at least a couple of hours and whizz up with a little water to make it as thick and creamy as you want it.
See www.naturalrecipes.co.uk for more simple, healthy and delicious recipes, and www.goodfoodcookery.co.uk for more information on cookery workshops in the UK.
Best wishes,
Kirsten Chick
