Building Self Confidence in Children Part 1

Episode Number:
009
With:
AnnaMarie Squailia

We gain confidence when we do what we fear. When we look fear in the face and succeed, we realize we can do anything.

The same is true for our children. I have found that the root of most fear is really the fear of the unknown. I am unwilling to take chances or risks if I don't know how things will turn out. It's called "Calculated risks." I'm good at excuses.

Our children are watching us. Are we helping them look fear in the face and choose to advance anyways? If we can teach them to stretch themselves a little everyday, to take those risks, one day we will look back and see our children with loads of confidence.
