What is your role in building your child's self-confidence?

Episode Number:
011
With:
AnnaMarie Squailia

As parents we play a major role in the development of our children. The things we say or don't say can have a major impact on our kids.  Do your children understand that life is full of ups and downs? Do they know that sometimes they will succeed and some times they will fail?

How will they react when they fail? How will you react? Will you be standing by them encouraging them to try again? Have you been preparing them that some times they will fail but also teaching them that it isn't really a failure it is an opportunity to solve a problem? It is an opportunity to be creative and figure out a new way to accomplish something. It is a challenge that can be overcome! If you can get your children to look at failures as just problems to overcome, they will have the self-confidence to do anything.
